ICSR research aims to address the most pressing, practical issues in the areas of radicalisation and political violence. In 2008, ICSR's focus will be:

Countering Online Radicalisation: This project convenes, for the first time, the world's leading academics, industry representatives and governments to identify the most innovative and effective strategies through which to counter radicalisation and recruitment on the Internet.

Assessing Pathways into Radicalisation: This project will construct the most up to date ‘radicalisation cycle' based on everything known about the radicalisation process. Using our model, we will be able to identify targeted strategies for intervention and exit at each point of the cycle.

Atkin Fellowship: Thanks to the generosity of the Atkin Foundation, this project will offer young leaders from Israel and the Arab world the opportunity to come to London for a period of four months in order to develop their ideas on how to further peace and understanding in the Middle East through research, debate and constructive dialogue in a neutral political environment.
