Jessica Watkins (Guest)
Jessica Watkins is a first year doctoral student in the War Studies Department, King's College London. Her research focuses on security sector reform in the Arab world. Prior to starting at KCL she worked for the Rand Corporation in Santa Monica on a number of Middle East related policy projects and is coauthor of The Iraq Effect: the Middle East after the Iraq war (March 2010) and Security in Iraq: A Framework for Analyzing Emerging Threats as U.S. Forces Leave (February 2010). Jessica has lived and worked in various parts of the Middle East including Iraq where she worked for two and a half years. She received her BA in Oriental Studies (Arabic with French) from Cambridge University in 2002.
