James Kidner has, since April 2007, been Director of the Coexist Foundation, a UK-registered charity working to promote understanding between Jews, Christians and Muslims. By supporting and directing education, dialogue and research projects, Coexist aims to help people of these Abrahamic religions to improve their relations - above all with each other, but also with those of other faiths and of no faith. Before joining Coexist, James spent more than twenty years in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, serving in a range of UK and overseas postings, including Malaysia and Bulgaria and worked with the Cabinet Office, the UK Parliament and the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit. From 2003-2006, on secondment from the FCO, he was Deputy Private Secretary to The Prince of Wales.
