David de
Ugarte has always believed in the new possibilities and freedom that personal
computers can provide to people. His academic studies and his way of looking at
the world are those of an economist. He has published several papers about
micro-economy, especially for his students when he was a lecturer in the
"Universidad Carlos III". Mr. de Ugarte reached his professional maturity when
he became the Strategy Manager at Arsys (1999-2000), the greatest hosting
company in Europe. His first undertaking was
"Piensa en Red" (2000), the first European company that developed software for
PDAs and that created the first WiFi network in Spain and the first Moblog in
the world. Since 2002, he has been a partner in the "Sociedad de las Indias
Electrónicas", a company that implements the possibilities that the analysis of
social networks can provide.
