Conflict (ICNC) and was formerly ICNC's Director of Programs and
Research. Prior to this, Mr. Merriman worked with Dr. Gene Sharp at the
Albert Einstein Institution in Boston,
Massachusetts and contributed to
and edited Dr. Sharp's latest book,
Waging Nonviolent Struggle: 20th Century
Practice and 21st Century Potential. More recently, Mr. Merriman
co-authored a chapter in the forthcoming book
Nonviolence: An Alternative
for Countering Global Terror(ism) and is a co-author of
A Guide to
Effective Nonviolent Struggle, a training curriculum for activists. Mr.
Merriman has worked with activists from around the world and presents on a
variety of topics related to strategic nonviolent conflict.
