Jonathan Cohen joined Conciliation Resources in December 1997 having previously served as Deputy Director of the Foundation on Inter-Ethnic Relations (FIER) in The Hague, working with the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities. He co-directs CR's Caucasus programme, which focuses on the Georgian/Abkhaz and the Nagorny Karabakh conflict and peace processes. Since joining CR he has been a board member of the DFID/CAF Partnerships in the Non-Profit Sector Programme for Russia, has acted as a consultant to United Nations Volunteers, the Heinrich Boell Foundation, the Berghof Foundation, Amnesty International and has taught at the London School of Economics. He previously worked at International Alert in London and the Peace Research Institute Oslo. In 2006, he was awarded an OBE by the British Government for services to conflict prevention and conflict resolution in the Caucasus.
