Yasar Qatarneh is the Director of the Regional Center on Conflict Prevention in Amman, Jordan. Prior to this appointment, he served as Research Fellow at the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan. Mr. Qatarneh's writings deal with terrorism and political violence, regional stability issues, as well as security and democratisation in the Middle East. He has also appeared in Jordanian and international media. In his personal capacity, Mr. Qatarneh has advised major corporations such as Morgan Stanley, T. Rowe Price International, UBS Investment Bank and Capital International on regional and security issues. He is a PhD candidate at the Department of War Studies, King's College London. Mr. Qatarneh serves as the representative from the Regional Center on Conflict Prevention to the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence (ISCR).
