Elhanan Miller joins ICSR as an Atkin Fellow for Spring 2012.

Elhanan is the Arab Affairs reporter for the Times of Israel, a Jerusalem-based Israeli news website. Prior to joining the Times of Israel in 2012, Elhanan covered Arab news for The Media Line news agency.  He holds a Masters degree in Middle East history and Islamic Studies from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, completing a thesis that compares issues of religion and state in Egypt and Israel.  As a student, Elhanan was active in the Hebrew University debating society, taking part in national and international competitions. He also participated in interreligious dialogue groups with Palestinians in Jerusalem. In 2008 Elhanan was an assistant to Member of Knesset Colette Avital (Labour) as a Legacy Heritage fellow.

Elhanan has worked as an independent translator in English, Hebrew and Arabic and has taught Jewish studies in Paris as a Jewish Agency volunteer. He is a volunteer contributing writer and editor for Can Think, an Israeli website focusing on Israel and the Middle East and maintains an active Hebrew blog, Hayey Adam, where he provides personal insights on current affairs in Israel and the Arab world.

His research at ICSR focuses on the Palestinian refugee issue, examining diplomatic and political prospects for its resolution.
