ICSR’s Winter 2012 Atkin Fellows – Lior Finkel and Mohammad Al Azraq – presented their final research papers to a lively audience at King’s College London.

In her paper, Lior highlights the important contributions that female negotiators can make to the stalled Israeli-Arab peace process. She is a Parliamentary Assistant and Political Advisor to MK Ilan Gilon with Meretz and a graduate of the Peres Center for Peace “Young Political Leaders” programme.

Mohammad examines how successful renewable energy projects can encourage ‘bottom-up’ peace initiatives. He was the Cultural Activities Coordinator at the  American Center of Oriental Research in Amman and holds a Bachelors of Science in Engineering from the University of Jordan.
