Thanks to the generosity of the Atkin Foundation, ICSR offers young leaders from Israel and the Arab world the opportunity to come to London for a period of four months, producing a research paper as the result of their work. The purpose of the fellowship is to provide young leaders from Israel and the Arab world with an opportunity to develop their ideas on how to further peace and understanding in the Middle East through research, debate and constructive dialogue in a neutral political environment.
Tal Dror, ICSR’s AutumnAtkin Fellow for 2013 used her time in London to focus on the field of international relations and its impact on the Middle East peace process. In her research Tal compared the EU and US efforts to influence the peace process, and answered the question of which efforts had have more influence on the Palestinian or the Israeli side.
A native of Jerusalem, Tal began her political career as a parliamentary assistant, political adviser and spokesperson to an MK from the Kadima party. She then worked as an Internal Political Advisor at the British Embassy in Israel. Tal holds a BA in Political Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a MA in Government, Specialising in Political Marketing from the IDC Herzliya.
